… I'm not at all apprehensive in watching the updated version of the Mag given some of it's obvious political correctness. As a Viet Nam Vet, Magnum Senior was the best medicine for me at the time and I'm thinking maybe, just maybe the current vets that have returned from the mid-east arena are in search of the same. I'll approach the update with an open mind and a tease that what I'll be watching is a Magnum Jr that emulates his father's footsteps. Mag Sr's footstep will be hard to fill but maybe Junior will eventually fit in to them. We'll see but till then..... I'm still lost in nostalgia.

Like all moronic "reboots", it's already shown itself to be Politically
Correct, in-name only rubbish, even before the recent trailer was
released. It is NOT "Magnum PI" in anything but name and core ideas.
It's a brand new show that should have had a brand new name to go with
it.

It's certainly not "Magnum Jr" since the real Magnum never had a son.

The ONLY plus point for this silly "reboot" version is that it's still
set in Hawaii, unlike a previously planned "reboot" version!

Based on the trailer, I'll definitely watch it.

But it could also be that the trailer contains the best 4 minutes of the pilot.

We'll see.

But...Nuzzo...Nuzzo...yeah, they called him Sebastian Nuzzo...not to be
confused with Sebastian Nuzo, who actually had died over in "Nam but
who "came back from the dead" played by Ivan's operative in the scheme
to drug TC to kill the Japanese dignitary.

OK, it's a nod to us, but it's a nod I don't like.

On the other hand..."I need a car" followed by Thomas pulling the old
308 out of storage? Killer. Someone saw "Skyfall" and said, "I can do
that!" (Question: was it the actual final 1985 model 308QV used in
the show? Did someone keep it around and make it available for this?)

And they kept the iconic Post/Carpenter music, at least for the
trailer. Will they keep it for good? Regardless, if H50 is any
indicator, they'll butcher it down to 27 seconds.

This new show has nothing to do with the real version, so including
that car was simply a pointlessly silly decision that makes no sense,
almost as ridiculous as doing a "reboot" at all.
